Description
An on-trail/off-trail/scramble route in the Valleyview Silt Cliffs.
- we start out on trails, but angle off into the erosion features of the terrace bench, weaving along gullies, around sinkholes, bridges, and unusual erosion features
- there will be some steeper sections as we go up and down ridges, terrace benches, and gullies
- we will see about 25 sinkholes along the way
- some areas require caution, but there are no rocky areas at all
- for agile, stronger hikers with some core fitness
- some scrambling so strong ankles are needed
- hiking poles recommended
- tick season
- the dates chosen may yield dry conditions, but there will undoubtedly be some wet and slippery areas where drying has been slower
