Description

We will snowshoe across Campbell Lake to the campground, from there we will do a circuit through the forest, returning to the campground for lunch.

I know this area very well, but it will be the first time I have snowshoed it, distances are approximate.
The route is fairly flat, but we will be stomping our own trail so I’m rating this as a moderate/harder trail. Approx 8 to 10 km at a slower pace with lots of breaks.

Meet at 10:15 at Market Fresh Foods in Dallas, leaving by 10:30. We should be on the trail by 11 am. We will snowshoe for 3 to 4 hours, stopping for lunch along the way.

Bring water, lunch and dress for the weather.

Dogs will be allowed, but keep in mind that the snow may be very deep for them. Be prepared to keep them on a leash.   4 dogs max, 1 dog per member. Please comment if you are bringing your dog.
Dog owners please watch that your dog does not step on other peoples snowshoes.
