Description

A steep hike starting on the Needle Peak Trail, then veer off at the saddle to go over to Flatiron Mountain.  This is a long and steep hike to the summit of one of the Coquihalla peaks.   Core fitness required for the steep uphill.

Meet early and carpool to Zopkios Ridge Rest area.

Steep uphill and downhill; poles required and good hiking boots.   Lunch at the lake on Flatiron, then a short jaunt to the ridge above.   Bring plenty of water as there is no water source on the hike.

This should not be your first hike of the season and you will be expected to keep a steady pace and keep up with the group.   The goal is to reach the summit , weather permitting, and to return in good time.

Be prepared to pay $15 to the driver if y ou choose to car pool.

A 2015 Peak series hike.
