This event is still evolving because it is challenging to figure out the right way to do this

A 2 consecutive day hike around Kamloops Lake, then a third day at a later date.

• Before Day 1 – stash camping gear at caches just off the Copper Creek Road (probably on April 23rd).
• Day 1 – meet at the start – at the trailhead area for Battle Bluff (a drop off would be best- I have one driver so far)
• hike from the trailhead to Copper Creek – 20 km
• this is the Hudson Bay Brigade Trail route
• set up camp at the site chosen and camp overnight; participants can also go home for the night but must arrange their own pickup at the junction of the Copper Creek Road and the Carrabine Creek Road
• the following morning – break camp and cache gear
• hike the route for Day 2 – Copper Creek to Savona (22 km)
• call for rides or have a vehicle dropped off to shuttle everyone home
• retrieve camp gear to follow
• as far as I know, this has never been done so it will be somewhat exploratory
• I have done every section now in stages over the past few years so I know the parts along the way
• very scenic, but very demanding
• lots of off-trail, sidehills, traverses, rough terrain, and many obstacles along the way, but what could be more fun?
• we will use day packs to hike and carry water, filtration, a lunch, etc.
• dates are tentative and we can be flexible
• at this point we are only asking for expressions of interest
• day hikers also welcome, but they have to arrange their own pickup or vehicle drop off at Copper Creek (contact me)

• tents
• sleeping bags
• pads
• one shared stove
• one shared pot
• plates and cutlery
• food (in a bear-proof container)
• basic toiletries
