Come join on Oct 16/16 for a 13 km hike from the Balmoral trailhead to Blind Bay Bluffs. This hike has some steep climbs and steep sections. We will hike through a forested area and along the bluffs to reach several scenic viewpoints along the way including views over the entire south Shuswap. This hike should take about 5 hours to complete, allow an extra hour for breaks along the way and lunch with plenty opportunities for picture taking. This is considered an all day hike so be prepared to stay for the duration.

Bring a lunch, snack, water, your camera and your smile.

Be prepared to stay as a group at all time as this is a wilderness trail so bears could be watching. But no worries, with chatter, we shall not meet with them.

You must be physically fit to attend this event and be able to stay with the group.

Participants are to meet at Market Fresh Food at 09:30 am and leave shortly after. Please come a few minutes early to arrange carpooling.

Participants will meet the Chase group at the Chase Petro Canada at around 10:15 am and caravan from there to the trailhead located just past Sorrento, turning left unto Balmoral road for about 1.5 km to the large parking lot on the right side of the road. We should be at the trailhead by 10:35 am.

Suggested fee to carpool with a driver should be a minimal of $ 5.00 or as discussed among yourselves.
