Description
- Participants will meet at the Westsyde Shopping Centre to arrange carpooling, ready to leave by 9:30 am.
- Note: We have 2 volunteer drivers (Terry & Roy) who are not going to hike with us so the need to car shuffle will be reduced/eliminated for some participants. Also, it would be helpful to carpool to the event if you can so we can reduce the number of vehicles.
- Hike will start by the Community Grasslands sign near Griffin Lake off Lac Du Bois Road
- Hike is approximately 14 km mostly downhill with some steep sections in the forest and rolling hills in the grasslands.
- Dress for the weather conditions, bring your hiking essentials, lunch, camera.
- Bring a spare pair of shoes and something to put muddy shoes or boots into & some carpooling money
- At the end of this hike a couple vehicles will need to take drivers back to their vehicles at Griffin Lake.
- Dogs are allowed (limit of 2) – please use the comments below to indicate if you would like to bring your dog. See the KHC dog policy.

I moved to Kamloops in 1994 and joined KHC in 2020. I recently retired and enjoy the following outdoor activities:cross country skiing, snow shoeing , kayaking, hiking and biking. I get out several times a week either with the club or family. I will lead outings throughout the year. Pace will be moderate and steady.
