Come Join John and Carole in exploring the new redesigned Upper flume trail and lower flume trail as a bonus. This promises to be a beautiful double hike, just across the highway from each other. You will hike through forested areas and be surrounded by creeks and small waterfalls. We will begin with the Upper Flume trail for 6 km return trip, then we will explore the lower flume trail, including a side trip to the “stairway to heaven” for a return trip of 4 km. Lunch will be on the bluff of the lower flume trail above Adam lake.

This double hike is to be considered as easy to moderate

Participants are to meet at Market Fresh food in Kamloops at 09:00 am sharp, then shortly after, arrange carpooling and proceed to the trailhead of the Upper flume trail. Please remember to pay your driver $ 5.00 to $10.00 depending on number of passengers. Please contact hike leader by email if you wish to bring a furry companion.

Bring your ten essentials, mosquito spray, sunscreen and of course your camera.

Have been a member of KHC since 2011-leading hikes/snowshoes events in Kamloops and surrounding areas since 2011. Have been arepresentative onthe Kamloops Hiking Club BoardofDirector and hike leader co-ordinator in past years. Passionate about hiking and always looking for new trails to explore. Extensive hiking in the Rockies and Utah. Have also hiked the Tour de Mt Blanc circuit in Europe and Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Recently retired , I am looking forward to explore and discover new trailsclose to home and abroad and tocontinue to lead hikes/snowshoes events. Most of the hikes I lead can range from easy, moderate to harder. I feel grateful in being able to share my favorite hikes with club members and to spread my love of nature with others.
