Description
The fourth Downriver Event for 2016
- we will work on vehicles/transport once we see who has registered, but everyone is responsible to get their own boats to the launch spot on Harrington Road
- drop off a vehicle at McArthur Island boat launch to transport drivers back to Dairy Road
- launch at Harrington Road hand launch area; please park responsibly since this is a residential area
- a 20 km paddle to McArthur Island (2.5 – 3 hours)
- no lunch stop along the way since there will nowhere to land
- the water will be moving quickly
- dress for the conditions
- a group paddle; participants are expected to stay in touch with the group
- please ensure that you are well-prepared, as per the Ten Essentials
- all Transport Canada safety requirements must be met
- if the weather is marginal, a Plan B route will be planned
