Description

For this hike we will start on the road and walk up to Parking Lot 1.  From there we will hike up the moderate eastern trails to the gazebo at the top (Old Mills Trail and Pine Loop Trail).  On the way down we will take the steep Skyline Trail back to the road.  Once at the road, we will walk back to our vehicles along the road.  The Skyline Trail is steep and is exposed in a number of spots.  Participants should be fit with good balance.

The overall elevation gain will be 525m, but we will take short breaks along the way.  We will have lunch at the top.  If you have been hiking during the spring, this trail should be suitable.  This is not a trail to start your hiking season with.

Expect the wild flowers to be in full bloom.

We will meet to carpool at 9:30 and be at the trailhead by 10:00.  The leader will meet the group at the eastern trailhead on the Heffley Louis Creek Road.

This is a dog friendly event.  The leader will be bringing at least one dog.
