Description
This event was formerly called Chug Chuwhels, but I changed the location to a hike at lower elevations. Registrations were kept intact, but the event details have changed.
A hike into the hills past Galaxie Lake
- a good hill to start the hike, then rolling terrain through forest and open areas and back down in a lollipop-shaped route
- about 3 hours on the trails
- dress for the weather
- we will still hike even if it has snowed
Meet-up Spot/Trailhead:
Drive onto the Lac le Jeune Frontage Road past Trans Mountain Pipelines and also past the turn to Sugarloaf Road, continuing on a bit, then look for a small parking area on the left (do not go up the hill). Meet there.
