Description
Brookmere Loop is part of the old Kettle Valley Railroad that has now become a multi use trail. This trail is a very easy strolling road ( 1% down grade) to walk, just a longer one (15km). The trail meanders through a mix of treed areas, rock outcropping cliffs and open portions that peer down into of the Coldwater River. A few well established bridges to cross are along the route as well. Though preferably to be recognized as a non motorized trail, this portion is often utilized by ATV, dirt bikes and side by side 4 wheeled motorized recreational vehicles. Be wary of them on the trail.
-We will need to do a car shuttle system for this. Must have enough vehicles registered to have this hike a go. No high clearance vehicles are necessary. Trail begins in the hamlet of Brookmere and ends at a roadside camping spot along Coldwater Road.
-1 hour 15 minutes driving time (one way) to location. Carpooling cost range from $5-10 depending on # of ppl (driver’s discretion)
-Lunch stop will be along the Coldwater River
-Falls colors will hopefully be out at this time so bring your camera
