Description
A hike up Mara Canyon (also known as the Hoodoos and Cinnamon Ridge) on Good Friday
- meet at the Brock Dog Park just before 10:00
- carpool to the trailhead
- hike up through the canyon which has some sections of light scrambling (Class 2)
- steady uphill for an hour (some fitness demands)
- lunch at the top of the ridge under the peak
- return by the loop route which is narrow and a bit loose underfoot
- good hiking shoes and poles recommended
- there is some cactus along the route which may not be suitable for dogs
- ticks will be out
