Mara Mountain from the Pruden Pass Road parking area (NE side) – a KHC event for Canada’s 150th birthday

• a steep hike up to Mount Mara, then a traverse over to the front side
• some longer off-trail sections
• a steady hike up to the viewpoint (best suited to stronger hikers)
• hiking poles and good boots recommended
• tick season, so take precautions
• wildflowers will be out
• dress for the conditions
• lunch at the viewpoint
• return by the same route, except a swing over to the east summit on the way back
• the Pruden Pass Road can be rough
• a group hike so participants are asked to follow the same route (parallel tracks ok)
