Description
We will snowshoe the McGillivray Lake Cabin Trail up to the cabin and McGillivary Lake. This trail is 3 kms one way and climbs about 750 m (1500 feet) with some steeper sections.
We will lunch, rest and warm up in the cabin before returning via the McGillivary Lake Cabin Return trail. This trail will take us past Little McGillivary Lake and across the dog sled trails.
The entire trip is about 8 to 10 km and is considered an Advanced Trail according to Sunpeaks Adventures. However, we will be going at an easy pace with lots of rest breaks. Everyone is expected to stay together.
When crossing/sharing the cross country ski trails, please be mindful to stay to the side and off the ski tracks.
Meet at the Paul Lake Husky Meetup for 8:45 am to carpool, leaving by 9:00 am. We should be on the trail by 10 am. Approx $5 to $8 for carpooling depending on the vehicle and number of passengers.
Please bring water, lunch and dress for the weather.

Snowshoe tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Day Lodge.
