I would like to bring a guest and her dog that has already signed up and paid her membership just has not received her password yet. Is this okay?

As long as your guest has fulfilled all the requirements for registration, especially waiver, then I I have no objection.

Hi Ernie: This looks awesome but I have only snow shoed 10 km a few times on flat to moderate hills that were stomped on. Do you think I could handle this one?

    • January 25, 2018 at 11:28 am

Yes, it won’t be 10km. We need some snow, but for this stomp, we will probably just go in the tracks of people that have gone before. Only about 20 minutes uphill. Nothing too strenuous. See ya there!

Update: Sunday, January 28th: Since the snow is here and conditions look great, I have added a couple more spots to hopefully see the full moon!

Update: Jan. 29th. I just heard Johanna Wagstaff on the radio. It is a very special moon on Wednesday, but unfortunately I don’t think it will be above the horizon for our stomp. The night outing will still be fun though. Charge up your headlamp batteries!

I was looking forward to this hike. I am still dealing with a concussion.

Update: January 31st: Wahoo! I checked my “Skyview” app last night. According to the app, the moon will rise about 5:20pm tonight! Therefore, we may not see the Super Blue Blood Moon (that will occur at 4am or something), but clear skies willing, we could be treated to a bright, moon lit night on the snow!
Last night at around 10pm the moon was out and beautiful, so with a little luck, this stomp should be illuminating between 6:30 and 8:30!

My apologies, I am working on a deadline and will have to view the moon from my office, argh! Enjoy the hike!
