Come join us for a beautiful December hike to Mt Baldy lookout near Sorrento on Dec 14/17. Beautiful trail built by the Shuswap Alliance trail through a mixed forested area with several viewpoints along the way. You will climb up on a gradual ascent and reach a beautiful aspen grove and hike through a unique ” bike parts ” arbour gracing a wooden path. The lookout viewpoint overlooks Copper Island over the lake west of Sorrento.

Please be at the meet up spot at 0920 sharp and carpool by 0930 sharp. The leaders will meet the Kamloops participants at the Chase petro Canada at about 10:00 am. Remember to pay your driver a $5.00 fee for carpooling after the hike.

Bring your lunch, plenty of water and of course, your camera and smile as there will be plenty of opportunity for picture taking along the way and at the viewpoint where we shall have lunch.! Remember to bring traction device as the trail may be icy on some spots. Dress in layers as per conditions.

Extensive hiking in the Rockies and Utah. Have also hiked the Tour de Mt Blanc circuit in Europe and Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Recently retired , I am looking forward to explore and discover new trailsclose to home and abroad and tocontinue to lead hikes/snowshoes events. Most of the hikes I lead can range from easy, moderate to harder. I feel grateful in being able to share my favorite hikes with club members and to spread my love of nature with others.
