Description
A hike to the top of Porcupine Ridge on the south side of Lime Ridge in Marble Range
- an early start – meetup at 7:30 am
- carpool and drive to the trailhead (2 hours)(riders should be prepared to pay the drivers $15 (or drive yourself))
- an exploratory route (we will use map, compass, and GPS to work our way up)
- the upper part will be off-trail
- article – Porcupine Creek
- article – Porcupine Creek
- if this date has poor weather, we will reschedule; this is a priority hike for 2015
- Update – thanks to Jeremy and Raegan for information and a GPS track
- another article – Porcupine Creek Trailhead
- the 5.3km road to the trailhead is high clearance and a bit rough. We will need appropriate vehicles to get to the trailhead, or we will have to park lower and hike farther
- if we can drive in, the hike will be 10km with a climb from 1525m to 2208m
- we will sort out vehicles in the week prior to the hike

Some updated information added. We need high clearance vehicles to drive the 5.3 km to the trailhead. I will bring my truck and can carry 2 or 3 more people. Can someone else with an appropriate truck or high clearance SUV also drive?

I will bring my truck.
Thanks, Peter. That will help lots.
If it is very hot, please bring lots of water and take all the usual precautions.
My husband was kind enough to give me a cold. Cancelling. I’m having no luck lately.
I’m leaving the dog at home. May I please carpool with someone?
