Description

Rousseau Hill is located at the end of the Upper Dew Drop Road.  This is a rough road and will require a high clearance vehicle to get to the trailhead.

From the parking area, we will travel up an old road for 2 km and then strike off trail south west up the steep grass slopes of Rousseau Hill.  This will be an elevation gain of 500m.

We will have lunch at a lookout on the summit.  From the top, we will be able to see down the southwest leg of Kamloops lake towards Savona, as well as up the south east leg towards Kamloops.  We return the same way and take a look at the Obelisk, which may be a future hike.

Since some route finding will be required, it is expected that we will stay together as a group.  Dress for the conditions, it may be quite windy at the lookout.

We will need one additional truck to car pool to the trailhead.  Please comment if you can carpool with a truck.
