We have had lots of snow in the Chase area, snow and more snow at Skmana, 24 inches plus on the Dec. 30th,31st, another 6 inches Jan 2nd evening.    Many of the trails have had no action since the big dump of snow.    On Jan 2nd, 4 wheel drive or high clearance SUV was required to make it to the trailhead and into the parking lot, with another 6 inches of snow.     Today (Sat 4th) I will be checking our Mt Baldy for conditions, we have had some warm and windy weather overnight.    The group will meet at Valleyview arena at 9:30, meeting us at the Chase Petro Can about 10:00, we will drive together to the trailhead.    Dress for the conditions, bring your lunch, camera, essentials, and seat cushion.    We will stop along the trail for a tea, coffee, snack break. Sam reminded me to say: trail fees are $5 / person if we go to Skmana.    I will confirm more details after checking out Mt Baldy.

We will snowshoe Skmana Lake trails Sunday.

The road has been re plowed and is in good condition.

Additionally the parking lot has been plowed, there were a number of vehicles parked there today.

Remember $5 trail fees to be deposited near trailhead.
