Description
- A ride around the country roads from Sorrento to White Lake then through Carlin to Recline Ridge winery where we can have a wee wine tasting before circling back to Sorrento.
- 60 Km of easy to moderate rolling hills with several coffee shops en route. We will stop at a provincial park for a snack break and at the winery for lunch break.
- Lake views, rural farmlands and quiet back roads.
- Moderately paced ride for road bikes or hybrid bikes – this should not be the first ride of the season, so experienced riders only.
- We will meet at Valleyview Arena at 0900 to carpool to Sorrento.
- Bring all supplies for bike repairs and extra clothing.
- Be prepared to pay $10 for carpool.
I have been retired for several years now and enjoy many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, cycling, skiing, backpacking. I have lived in Canada for the last 35 years and spent a great deal of time exploring the Rockies, K-country, Kootenays and parts of BC.
I get out on a hike, ski or cycle ride several times a week either with the club or family and enjoy running multi day trips as well as day outings.I will lead fairly strenuous, moderate to steady paced outings as well as some starter outings.
