Description
A loop route in the Upper Grasslands
- meet at the Batchelor Hills meet-up spot at 10:00 to carpool (optional)
- drive to the snowy parking area at the south end of McQueen Lake ($4)
- walk back to the trailhead (250m) and head off into the northern edge of the grasslands
- snowshoe through the hills for 2 hours; the final route will depend on conditions
- a moderate route, but not really a novice route since there will no set track and a few hills
- a scenic route but it can be hard work too

- we are going to work on having at least 2 leaders to allow us to break into a slower and faster group, if needed
- with so many hike leaders on this event, we will leave the leading to the leader’s group since I can’t make it and won’t be out until future notice
