We will drive to Trophy Meadows parking area and hike into Sheila Lake (6Km) to base camp for two nights.

Day 1 – hike to Sheila Lake; set up camp; wander the meadows

Day 2 – hike to Trophy 2 summit

Day 3 – Morning hike to Silvertip Ridge and Cwen Cwem lakes area then return to camp early afternoon to collect gear;  hike out and drive home.

Days 1 and 3 will be moderate hiking days, with the afternoon hike on day 1 and morning hike on day 3 being optional.

Day 2 will be a longer day, with a 500 M plus elevation  and the hike is rated as difficult.   We will be on the trail for 5-6 hours so please make sure you are ready for a full day of hiking.  This will be an early start and at a moderately fast pace to enable those who wish to wander the ridge time to do so.    We may split into two groups, one a more leisurely pace, but will determine that on the hike in on Day 1 by judging the pace of the group.

We will arrange carpooling according to participants and cars will be not be left at mall meet up points.

Sheila Powell

I have been retired for several years now and enjoy many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, cycling, skiing, backpacking. I have lived in Canada for the last 35 years and spent a great deal of time exploring the Rockies, K-country, Kootenays and parts of BC.

I get out on a hike, ski or cycle ride several times a week either with the club or family and enjoy running multi day trips as well as day outings.I will lead fairly strenuous, moderate to steady paced outings as well as some starter outings.
