Description

This beautiful hike is one of the most easily accessible peaks on the Coquahalla summit.   A relatively strenuous, but short, hike up to a ridge and viewpoint.   At this time of year the weather could be an issue, but the colors could be lovely.   We will have a ‘back up’ in town plan if the weather is bad or if there has been a lot of snow up there.   A good trail with some rocky sections; could be also some muddy sections or snow covered areas so good waterproof boots advised and hiking poles for support.  Plan B will be posted at a later date – a meet up at Aberdeen at 1000.

We will hike up around 600 metres over 4.3 km to the lookout point, then back again.  We will drive to the Falls Lake parking area at the top of the coke (no hwb needed); about a 1 1/2 hr drive, and will meet at Aberdeen Mall at 0800.
