KHC Newsletter – August 13, 2017

  • This week’s header photo is one taken by member David Langevin, one of his paintings of Mt. Rundle at dawn.   David was part of the group hiking in the Rockies in July.   The panel is 12″ x 48″ so this image has been cropped to fit the web page.   To see more of David’s paintings, go to DavidLangevinArtworks.
  • Members can comment to the newsletter each week using the Leave a Reply function at the bottom of the newsletter.
  • Leaders have not been posting new events because of the poor air quality.   We hope to have a more active schedule in the fall once the wildfire season winds down.    We are still looking for more hike leaders so please contact us if you are interested.

Retired now, I get into the outdoors most days to hike, paddle, camp, run, snowshoe, or explore. Some of my activities involve more difficult routes, but a few are also suitable for moderately fit people who like a bit of a challenge. Since I am out several times a week, I post one (or two) event(s) each week and I invite a small group of like-minded people to join me.
