  • Michelle Dressler has begun the Wanderweg series, shorter hikes for all fitness levels.
  • Katherine Roberts has introduced the Night Owls hikes, events using headlamps.
  • Wendy Kineshanko has been offering hikes for beginning backpackers leading up to backpacking season.
  • Paul Battjes continues with Tramps R Us, steep challenging off-trail hikes.
  • Katherine Roberts has organized a series of backpacks and camps over the 2015 hiking season.
  • Anthony Stahn and Marty Young have begun the Marant Rambles, events to challenge members.
  • Sheila Powell has begun a series of longer hikes in our area.
  • Doug Smith has posted drafts for a series of downriver paddling events and double track mountain biking events.
  • All leaders have been adding hikes for the Peaks Series, organized by Paul Battjes.
  • Doug Smith offers hikes to area points-of-interest on most Wednesdays.
  • John Moslin has scheduled some hikes to tops of peaks in the summer season.
  • Carole Pugle, Lois Hunter, and Ed Hunter have been working on hiking routes in the Shuswap area.
  • A series of seminars have been scheduled by various leaders.
  • As the season progresses, more events will be added to the schedule so check the website as often as you can.

Retired now, I get into the outdoors most days to hike, paddle, camp, snowshoe, or explore. Some of my activities involve more difficult routes, but most are suitable for moderately fit people too.
