New Year, New Look

Welcome to the new look for the KHC website.  This is a big change.  Please take some time to look around to get to know it.

Some notes:

  • All functionality remains the same with regards to signing up and posting events.
  • Hike leaders that wish to have a page about themselves can contact Anthony Stahn.
  • All posted hikes that do not have a featured image will get a default image posted. This can be updated.
  • Feedback or questions can be sent to or comment on the post.
  • Changes/updates/fixes will be done over the course of the week as feedback rolls in.

Thank you for your patience this evening as the update was in progress.

See you on the trails!

Anthony Stahn

As a flatlander from Manitoba I have always been captivated by the mountains of the west. Moving to Kamloops has provided me with the perfect base camp to explore those very peaks that pulled our family west.

My typical hiking style can be summed up with “Nothing ventured, nothing gained”. Bushwhacking has become an acceptable form of travel for me as it seems that a lot of the great spots are off trail.

Hikes done by myself and Marty tend to fall into this category so don’t be surprised if this happens on a Marant hike. You can find more information at

Happy Hiking!

The website looks great Anthony – I like the fresh/clean look and thus far have found it user-friendly. Thanks so much!

The new look is bright and nice.
I did like the feature in the old style where you could skim down the entire list of events and pick the ones that were of interest. Now it seems you have to pick a category. Is there any way of having a list that chronologically lists all the upcoming events, no matter what category?
On my Mac laptop, the colour grid of the various categories doesn’t show the entire title on some of the categories around the edges.

I believe Anthony has already added this feature. Go to upcoming events – then “see all events” – should give you a list of everything
